Key Documentation for Seamless Visa Applications
Iceland does not have a physical embassy in Pakistan. Applications are processed by the Embassy of Denmark in Islamabad. You must select “Denmark” as your main destination/representative in the online portal but specify “Iceland” in your itinerary.
Iceland is a high-cost destination. For a solo traveler, a 6-month bank statement with a closing balance of at least PKR 1,500,000 to 2,000,000 is highly recommended to show you can afford the expensive local costs of stay.
Yes, you can visit any country within the Schengen Area. However, Iceland must be your primary destination (where you spend the most nights). If you spend equal time in two countries, Iceland must be your first point of entry.
While not standard for every applicant, the Embassy of Denmark reserves the right to call you to Islamabad for a personal interview if they need to verify your travel intentions or the authenticity of your documents.
Due to the “Schengen Consultation” process and the high volume of applications handled by the Danish Embassy, it is strongly advised to apply at least 2 months before your planned departure date.
